The Story Architect

Dr. Matthew Lewis, PsyD

Sport psychologist by training, novelist by necessity. Thirty years inside locker rooms, classrooms, and clinical practice taught him that the same questions appear everywhere — about pride, about restraint, about what a person is willing to know about themselves and what they will spend a lifetime not knowing.

His fiction is theological and procedural; his nonfiction is practical and quiet. He believes the modern publishing model treats writers like content factories and readers like data, and he is building a small house that does neither.

Beyond the Series

The Wider Catalog

Lewis Publishing House also produces nonfiction in two practical disciplines — sport psychology and parenting — under the same editorial standard: real research, calibrated voice, no filler.

Theological Thriller

Between Heaven and Hell

The flagship eight-book series. A two-detective procedural built around the seven deadly sins, set across seven European cities and ending in Edinburgh. Books One and Two are KDP-final; the rest are in active production.

Parenting · Birth to 18

That's My Baby

A 37-issue parenting publication tracking child development from infancy through adulthood. One issue per developmental stage, written by a sport psychologist who has spent three decades watching families decide what kind of family they will be.

Sport Psychology

The Six-Pack Newsletter

144 newsletters across 12 sports — the practical mental skills literature applied to specific athletic contexts. Built for coaches, parents, and athletes who want sport psychology that fits inside a single training session.

Advance Reader Copies

Read it before anyone else does.

Members of the Lewis Publishing House ARC program receive every new release four to six weeks before public launch, in exchange for an honest review on launch day. We send only when there is a book to send. That's the whole arrangement.

Lewis Publishing House is an independent literary imprint owned and operated by Dr. Matthew Lewis. We publish work that we ourselves would buy in a bookstore — with the editorial care of a small press and the production speed of a writer who has decided not to wait.

Every title is acquired, edited, designed, and produced in-house. ISBNs are owned. Rights are owned. Royalties go to the author, not the platform. The imprint exists because the literary work needed a name to live under.

For rights inquiries, foreign translation, audiobook licensing, or trade orders, write to rights@lewis-publishing-house.com. For media and review copies, write to press@lewis-publishing-house.com. For everything else, dr.lewis@lewis-publishing-house.com reaches the desk.

How can we improve?

Spotted a typo, want a book in a city we missed, or just want to tell us something? This goes straight to the desk.
